Rafa Cirne Lima is a Physical Educator with more than 30 years of professional experience, 26 of which have been in the San Francisco Bay Area in Northern California.  Born in Porto Alegre, Brazil in the 70s, he has always been dedicated to sports.  Like every Brazilian, his career began with soccer.  He later transitioned to tennis.  And, after that, he ended his athletic career in semi-professional surfing.  He launched his career as a physical educator in 1989.

 

Rafa graduated from Centro Universitario Metodista (IPA) in 1994 with a Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, with a focus on Biomechanical Studies and Sports Psychology. Throughout his career, he has worked directly and indirectly with more than 10,000 athletes of all ages/levels around the world, as well as dozens of coaches, physical trainers and psychologists.  Additionally, he has created a training method, which includes a mental training tool, patented by the United States Patent and Trademark Office in 2012 (patent number 8,241,152).

 

Rafa offers both individual and group mental focus training and mentoring services to high-performance, in-training, and recreational athletes.  He also works in the corporate sector.  The sessions vary in duration, depending upon the objective, and include practical exercises focused on training attention and mental/emotional presence to utilize in the most challenging moments of competitive stress.  Assessments and sessions are carried out both in-person and online.
